Hello there, welcome to my website. I am Kathleen Blackshear, a 1981 graduate Of the WSU College of Veterinary Medicine. Personally, my mission is to heal and help; to restore real health and vitality to our loved pets! I have been an ER vet, a ‘regular day-vet’, and have been Boarded in Companion Animal Medicine by the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners.
Importantly–My Rogue Valley Veterinary practice is strictly a House Calls practice! I come to you and do my examination and treatment in your pet’s comfort zone–it’s HOME. I can do so much on location! Additionally, if your animal needs radiographs, surgery, dental work, chiropractic or acupuncture care, I can set that up!
If your pet has an acute problem–pain, a limp, a sore, a cough, I can help. If your pet has a chronic, frustrating illness or issue, I can help. If your pet needs a wellness checkup and maybe also vaccinations, I am there! (I also do gentle humane euthanasia at home, see my link if you need more information)
AND-I practice in both Conventional and Integrative Veterinary Medicine.
Integrative Veterinary Medicine combines natural/alternative medicine with conventional/traditional medicine for the best outcome for the patient. The IVM approach uses whole nutrition, therapeutic nutrition, herbal medicine, homeopathy, acupuncture, chiropractic care, conventional lab analysis and drug therapies as needed to heal, restore health and vitality! Sound great? IT IS!
